How to create an alert widget group

If you have come up with a large number of different donation alerts, you can create them in the standard Alerts group, or you can create your own widget group (or even several groups).

Creating an alert widget group

To create a new group, click the Create button on the Widgets tab of the streamer dashboard. It is in the bottom right corner of the page. In the menu that opens, choose the Containers → Widget group type. Clicking it creates a New group in your dashboard. You can rename the group if you like.

Creating and configuring widgets inside the group

There are several ways to create a widget inside a group:

• create a new alert widget with the Create button. It will be created in the Ungrouped area. To move it, click and hold the widget with the left mouse button and drag it into the group you want;

Important: every new widget created with the Create button appears in the Ungrouped area at the top of the page. This area does not exist while it is empty. It disappears once you delete or move every widget out of it, and reappears when you create a new widget.

• copy a widget that is already in the group;

• create the widget inside the group straight away. To do this, click the three dots on the right of the screen next to the group you want, and then, in the group menu that opens, click Create widget in group;

• move a previously created widget from another group.

Important: if your group currently contains an alert widget, the system will not let you create or move a widget of a different type into it. This is because the Embed link feature currently works only with alert groups.
