How to let donors attach a YouTube video to a donation

A huge number of videos are published on YouTube every day — music videos, film trailers, vlogs, reviews and so on. And when you find something genuinely interesting there, you want to tell everyone about it and share the link. Your viewers can also send you a link to a favourite video along with their donation. To make this available, turn it on in your donation page settings using the toggle in the Allow media on stream row.

You can block donations with videos when the donation is below a certain amount — just set a minimum donation amount for media. You can also set requirements for the videos being sent: a minimum number of YouTube views and likes. Depending on the settings you choose, the filtering level for videos can be:

• Low (65%+ likes, 5k+ views);

• Medium (75%+ likes, 40k+ views);

• High (80%+ likes, 300k+ views);

• Very high (85%+ likes, 900k+ views).

Once you save the settings, an option to add media will appear on your donation page.

Your followers will now be able to paste a YouTube video link into a dedicated field.

Once a donation with media arrives, it appears in your transaction list. From there you can copy the media link or open the media in a new window.
